Claim Limit:  $5,000.00

Attorney Representation: Iowa permits attorneys to represent clients in small claims court.

Eviction Cases:  Eviction cases can be filed in Iowa small claims court.

Jury Trial:  Jury trials are not permitted in Iowa small claims court.

– Oral Contract: 5 years
– Personal Injury: 2 years
– Real Property: 5 years
– Personal Property: 5 years
