Court: Small claims cases are heard in the small claims docket of the District Court.
Claim Limit: $10,000.00
Answer Period: Defendant may file a written answer answer within 20 days of service. Counterclaims must be filed and served at least 48 hours before the trial.

Eviction Cases: Eviction cases cannot be filed in small claims court.
Jury Trial: Jury trials are not permitted.
